Mid Century and Pine - Chests of Drawers
A lot of people own brown furniture, whether it's old quality pine or inherited Mid-Century pieces. And I've painted LOTS of chests of drawers. Here's a look at two typical pieces:
These two drawers have been painted with a white chalk paint when the drawers were removed.
The teak on the drawers is a lovely grain, so the drawers have been re-stained and then sealed to really bring through that design.
This type of Mid-Century furniture looks great, part painted in a strong, clean colour.
I also just finished painted a chest of drawers for a customer. A nice piece of pine, but to get up to date and drop the broooooowwwwwn, I've painted all over in a soft white.
The handles were painted too, then a metallic wax was added for colour.
Simples! Looking good and ready to roll :-)
