The Big Blue - Stag Head Chest of Drawers

This big chest of drawers is a solid mahogany and just seemed kind of sad - so I cheered him up with a really bright makeover.

Off came those small round handles and on went the bright Antique Turquoise chalk paint...

After all the paint and shabbying up is finished, I've added lots of clear wax to protect the surfaces and added a bit of shine to the top with some elbow-grease!

These solid iron stag-head drawer pulls look amazing on such a solid piece.

There's some gilded highlights on the drawers now, lets just say he's really getting in touch with his feminine side - causing quite a stir at the shop :-)
