Chalk Paint Workshops - bedside cabinet transformation

It's been a while since I've posted about the Chalk Paint Workshops (you can book here), however I've been sent some pics from one of my workshop customers and am so excited to share them with you!  Here's the story - we started off with an old pine bedside cabinet:

Nice solid cabinets being used in her teenage daughter's room - but Julie wanted to give her daughter a lovely surprise to match some of the other decor in her bedroom.

We removed the handles and painted all over in Foggy Venice, light grey chalk paint.  Then painted Nocturnal (black) on the tops and sides, leaving a front panel.  Some silver wax was added to the tops and around the edges-  and the woodwork was given a lightly shabby finish with sandpaper.

Part of the course covers various ways to transfer images - these Gothic crowns came from the Graphics Fairy website.  Probably the best place on the web to find royalty free images!  Don't you just love those new crystal handles?

Her daughter absolutely loves them and what an amazing transformation!!  I'll be sharing some more pics soon :-)
